Alvaro Malaga, D.D.S., M.S.
I was born in Peru and grew up in a small town in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. As a kid, I felt self-conscious about my smile and the positive changes orthodontic care made for me inspired me to become an orthodontist.
I started my 11-year academic journey at the University of Michigan by earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. I then continued to get my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Driven by my dream of becoming an orthodontist, I then went on to receive my Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from The Ohio State University.
Taking good care of my patients’ smiles and their oral health is very important to me. I could not ask for a better friend and mentor than Dr. Connor. Our practice philosophies are very much in line. I look forward to working with him, his awesome staff and continuing his tradition of excellence.
I am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the American Association for Dental Research. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, running, hiking, salsa dancing, playing soccer and watching college football!
